Answer People’s Twitter Questions

Here’s a tip for you to gain new Twitter followers in your niche.

It involves finding out questions they are asking and answering them.

Go to Google search and type in:

"How to" site:twitter.com

This will bring up any pages on Twitter with the words "How to" in them.

Now click on "Show Options" and choose "Past 24 Hours".

This will show the questions that people have been posting on Twitter in the past 24 hours. This means there are fresh Tweets looking for answers.

It’s amazing how many people with a problem will just post on Twitter rather than try to solve it themselves.

Find any of them you can answer with a quick Tweet in Twitter and fire off a message. Even better if you can point them to some information on a site you own.

Follow these people and you’ll probably find that you have a valuable follower back, who will check out your site and offers.

Of course, you can refine this technique further. There are plenty of other question phrases other than "How To". Try the old journalism favourites "Who", "What", "Where", "When" and "How" or even look for words like "Help".

You can also restrict this to niches which you know something about.

One final idea would be to outsource this. It’s just a modern development of the old Yahoo Answers technique.
